The Upsert Button in Zoho Forms for Zoho CRM Integration

Zoho One has a lot of valuable features which are easy to miss. Today we bring you such a very powerful, mystery button in Zoho CRM called ‘Upsert Button’. When you have multiple forms that connect to one another and you don’t want to create multiple records in the integration, you use the ‘Upsert button’ to create the single record constantly overwriting or updating into one record, using the email field as a unique identifier. To insert or update a record. The system checks for duplicate records based on the duplicate check field’s values. If the record is already present, it gets updated. If not, the record is inserted.


You will find the hidden ‘Upsert Record’ Button at the bottom of the Integration tab of Zoho Forms settings. 


Check the ‘Upsert Record’ option to open a dialogue box for further configuration.

Email is used as the unique identifier.

Choose ‘No’ as the Upsert Preferences to avoid overwriting existing empty fields where there is actual data.

Click ‘Done’.
