DDS Honors Autism Awareness, Acceptance and Advocacy Month 2022

April is Autism Awareness Month! Let’s work together to raise autism acceptance in our communities now that so many of us are aware of Autism Spectrum Disorder. DDS promotes peer acceptance, inclusion, awareness and acceptance for the people suffering from Autism. Every April, we celebrate the month to build an inclusive community where autistic individuals are embraced and supported to achieve the highest quality of life possible. Awareness is more about accepting the reality of things and that is equally true for Autism.

With the autism diagnosis rate increasing fast, we take these 30 days to celebrate the differences of, and empower individuals facing autism. Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of Autism Spectrum Disorder, is a developmental disorder. We have a number of intellectual leaders with Asperger’s Syndrome that built modern civilization. Some of the great personalities are Leonardo Di Vinci, Albert Einstein, Mozart, Bill Gates, Emily Dickinson, Mark Twain, Michelangelo, Hans Christian Andersen, Tim Burton, Vincent Van Gogh, Stanley Kubrick, Charles Darwin, Thomas Jefferson, Steve Jobs, Franz Kafka, Alfred Kinsey, Lewis Carroll, James Joyce, Sir Isaac Newton, Nikola Tesla, Elon Musk, Andy Warhol, H.G. Wells, Dan Aykroyd, David Byrne, George Orwell, Michael Jackson, Thomas Edison, Greta Thunberg, Alfred Hitchcock, Lionel Messi, Jim Henson, Daryl Hannah, Bobby Fischer, Anthony Hopkins, Beethoven, Henry Ford, Carl Sagan, Friedrich Nietzsche and Jane Austen.*

DDS stands with the policy of inclusion and respecting the differences laying great importance to the mental health causes. The most radical act you can perform as an ally to Autistic people is to accept them exactly as they are. Organizations like the Autism Society Los Angeles hold fundraising events to spread awareness, celebrate, and generate funds. Feel free to DonateLet’s learn about the history of Autism, support Autism-Friendly Businesses and Employers, spread kindness and awareness in community and light the world BLUE!

DDS Wishes You All a Happy Ramadan Mubarik

Ramadan Mubarak

Ramadan is a holy and fortunate month for Muslims all around the world, and it is one of Islam’s five pillars, which Muslims hold in high respect. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar, and it is regarded as a particularly significant month since it is during Ramadan that the Quran (Holy Book) was revealed to the Prophet Mohammed PBUH. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar, and it marks the beginning of a month of fasting between sunrise and dusk. During daytime hours, Muslims all around the globe will not eat or drink, but will continue to work or study.

DDS joins in the celebrations of Ramadan with everyone else. It’s a time for introspection and gratitude for what I have in my life, even if it’s not much. It is a time for family reunions and community gatherings all across the world to commemorate this beautiful month. It’s also a good opportunity to remember those who are less fortunate who may go without food and clean water all year. During Ramadan, we encourage all of our employees to observe the month’s sacredness.

We are bringing our key goals of understanding the effect of diversity, supporting colleagues to achieve, and recruiting a diverse team to life by working together on this platform. The overwhelming favorable feedback from our global staff is both astounding and heartwarming! Ramadan’s fundamental concepts are to increase self-control and self-discipline, as well as to cleanse literally and symbolically by helping those who are less fortunate, contributing more to charity, and thinking more spiritually about mankind as a whole rather than oneself as an individual.

DDS Celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

We honor the numerous contributions made to our country by our Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) colleagues. Now, more than ever, we must stand up to hatred and passionately celebrate the diversity that strengthens our country. The month of April is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a time to reflect on and celebrate our achievements in the United States. However, in order to properly enjoy this month, it’s necessary to first comprehend who and what it represents.

There are 330 million people in the United States, with 22 million identifying as Asian or Pacific Islander. ‘Asian’ is a wide term that refers to a huge group of people. The AAPI community has had a particularly difficult year, with a spike in hate crimes against Asian Americans occurring across the country. DDS prides itself on its diversity. We’re thrilled to increase our support for groups on the front lines fighting for the API community’s safety, dignity, and equity #StopAsianHate. We encourage you donate to Long Beach Public Library Foundation for AAPI community.

DDS brings you the ‘Top Three Asian American and Pacific Islanders’ for 2022

Naomi Osaka

Bruce Lee

Keenu Reeves

Naomi Osaka

Naomi Osaka

"This is such an important moment for Japanese women and women around the world. and I hope it’s an inspiration to a young girl with big dreams to know that anything is possible."

Naomi Osaka is a Japanese professional tennis player. She has been ranked No. 1 by the Women’s Tennis Association and is the first Asian player to hold the top ranking in singles. Members of the Asian American community voiced their support for Naomi Osaka after refused to talk to the reporters in a tournament.

“It’s really sad that this even has to be a hashtag/slogan,” Osaka wrote on her Instagram in reference to the #stopasianhate hashtag.

Bruce Lee

Bruce Lee

“Lee pioneered a model that promised Asian men they could take on any enemy and come out on top,” said Chris Berry, a professor of film studies at King’s College in London.

Bruce Lee was a Hong Kong and American martial artist, martial arts instructor, actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and philosopher.

With his striking moves, unrepentant love for his heritage and timeless wisdom, Bruce Lee has long been a source of pride for Asian Americans who’ve looked to him as an emblem of power when they felt rather voiceless in a country that did not always accept them.

Keenu Reeves

Keenu Reaves

"My relationship to my Asian identity, it’s always been good and healthy. And I love it," he told the outlet. "We’ve been growing up together."                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Keanu Reeves, who self-identifies as a person of color, opened up to NBC Asian America about his Chinese Hawaiian heritage and how he connects with his Asian background. He is a proud Asian American and is of the biggest names in Hollywood that AAPI community looks up to,

When we are in charge of our own stories, amazing things happen.

-Awkwafina

Today there are more than 300,000 living Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander American veterans. We have great names like Tiger Woods, Kamala Harris, Bruno Mars, Sandra Oh, Lucy Liu and Keali’i Reichel in the US which represent AAPI community and DDS is proud of each and every of the community member. #StopAsianHate is a slogan in defense from the community against rising racial hate crimes in 2021. We urge all come in support of the minorities like AAPI community and make them feel home.

Zoho CRM Tip: Potential Stages and Stage History

The module named Potentials have started to roll out, for new customers, this being named as Deals by Zoho. It has also been called or renamed (by users, not Zoho) Opportunities. Regardless of the naming convention used, the functionality is the same. There are benefits to using Potentials, including a number of pre-built reports for Pipeline etc. being available and the Kanban function for organizing Views. Potential is the revenue opportunity associated to an Account/Contact. It is what you are hoping to sell to them. The Stage field is the primary field aligning Zoho to your sales process for reporting, forecasting and more. It’s recommended to customize this to align to the steps/stages in your sales process.

The Potential Stages:

As you work with a Potential, change their Stage until they are ‘Closed Won or ‘Closed Lost’. You can change the stage in the graphic or in the field. Your organization’s administrator can set the stages and probability in the Admin panel as well:

 The Potential Stage History

See below how you can scroll down (also by clicking in Quick Link of the Related List on the left menu) to the content below the Potential profile and see the Stage History as you edit the Stage over time.

A Veteran’s Day Dedicated to the Memory of Ebitari’s Father-in-Law, Dwight

Navy Serviceman, Dwight Larsen and Ebitari Larsen
In memory of Navy Serviceman, Dwight Larsen, pictured with Ebitari Larsen.

This Veteran’s Day, Ebitari wants to acknowledge all our United States military service men and women who keep us safe, protecting our freedoms and who put peace as the number one priority for our nation and the world. To each and every service member, I want to say, ‘Thank you’.

This year, I also remember fondly, my favorite United States service man, my father-in-law, Dwight Larsen. He passed away, aptly, on September 11th, 2019. My husband and our entire family miss him greatly. Dwight served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was an officer and a gentleman, a devoted husband, dedicated father, and lover of God and what God loves; being justice, kindness, compassion and mercy.

This Veteran’s Day period, I wish all the military service men and women a time or rest and relaxation, from a grateful person, like me, and a grateful nation.

DDS Celebrates Jewish American Heritage Month 2022

In 2006, President George W. Bush proclaimed May as Jewish American Heritage Month. We recognize and remember the 23 Jewish refugees who sailed to New York and founded the first generation of Jewish Americans during Jewish American Heritage Month. Over the years, successive generations of Jewish Americans have inspired our Nation to speak up for justice, equality, and freedom, influenced by their own encounters with prejudice, persecution, and the hope of a brighter tomorrow.

“I was always a Jew. I feel I’m a good person, and that is what the Jewish tradition teaches you to be.
I’m not that religious, but I’m Jewish in my soul, my heritage, my spirit.”
–
Barbara Streisand

Below are some of the great Jewish American personalities that we honor and pay tribute to this month.

The greatest Jewish tradition is to laugh. The cornerstone of Jewish survival has

always been to find humor in life and in ourselves.

Jerry Seinfeld

There many great names like Patricia Arquette, Torri Spelling, Marc Jacobs and Amy Winehouse that strengthen the Jewish American identity. This month, DDS celebrates Jewish Americans’ ageless traditions, legacy, and contributions, which continue to propel our nation’s advancement every day. Feel free to donate to Jewish Long Beach organization. Jewish American Heritage Month also examines the history of injustice faced by Jews throughout history, not only in America but around the world. We believe it’s a time to reflect on the sad circumstances they faced and, in some cases, still confront. The commemoration also provides a chance to combat anti-Semitism and learn about its history.

Best Strategies for Constructing Modern Business Intelligence Team

Organizations must be able to obtain and evaluate data in order to make choices. That is exactly what BI teams are in charge of. They look at data for trends and patterns, then make suggestions to executives depending on what they discover. According to a Gartner Inc. survey of over 1,500 firms globally, 25-35 percent of executives interviewed were aggressively growing their business intelligence investment. According to a research conducted by Information Management Magazine, 43% of businesses have increased BI positions since 2010, with 40% expecting to do so in the next 12-18 months.*

Enterprises looking to expand BI use may consider building an advanced BI team comprising of 4 major roles – the IT Specialist, Analyst, Designer and Director.
IT Specialist: working in data technology, who has been in their position with substantial experience of understanding business and it complexities with the implication of automation.

Analyst: who can launch versatile graphics, models and representations of the business with the combination BI tools and company data.

Designer: possibly create interactive dashboards and visuals. They need to experimental and an expert in their role for functional results..
Data Director: overlooks terms for data governance, privacy and company’s ethics as they appear through the IT team to the BI team, and from there to direct users.

Most organizations already have some simple form of analytics activated, with the help of spreadsheets and basic level tools. But there are many other factors that contribute to the success of a BI team – structure and governance, proven methodology, skilled team members, collaboration and leadership. The increasing importance of BI teams means that data has become essential for running a business effectively.
