DDS Wishes You All a Very Happy Diwali 2022

Diwali is celebrated by about a billion people globally, and nearly a dozen nations have declared it an official holiday. Several cities in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom are also holding large events. Diwali’s cultural voyage has allowed it to reach people of numerous nationalities and languages. We are brimming with happiness for the holiday season and how it has just kick started with this fabulous event of Diwali.

During Diwali, people dress up in their finest clothes, decorate their homes with diyas (small clay oil lamps or candles) and rangoli (an art form in which patterns are created on the floor or ground using materials such as colored rice, colored sand, quartz powder, or flower petals), light fireworks, and share mithai (sweets) and gifts.

DDS wishes all the people this colorful and lighted event and encourage to celebrate it with full zeal and positivity. Taking in consideration the risk of the fire involved in celebration we urge to take necessary measures to ensure a safe and playful get together. We believe in celebration of all cultures and religions and love how amazing the cultural events are of our dear global village. CSAM was created to ensure that every individual stays safe and secure online. We lead internet-connected, digital lives. From our desks and homes to on the go, we work, learn and play online. Even when we are not directly connected to the internet, our critical infrastructure—the vast, worldwide connection of computers, data, and websites supporting our everyday lives impacts everyone.

We at DDS have dedicated this month for raising awareness for cybersecurity in our workplace and our social media. With so much going on in the cyber world, it is critical to keep the security of your data up to date. Ebitari Larsen, President of Delta Data Services, is so delighted to celebrate the history-making of Vice President Elect, Kamala Harris. What a wonderful story Vice President elect Harris has of being of Jamaican and South Indian descent, yet being born and raised in the United States and thriving in this nation until her recent history-making election as the first woman, Black, Indian descent and so many other less known firsts to be voted to this high office in the United States government.

I am so moved, excited, hopeful, and proud beyond words to see someone who looks a lot more like me than others have, who will be moving onto the United States government high stage and leading this great nation.

Here are some of the excerpts from Vice President Elect Harris’ speech accepting the election results on Saturday, November 7th, that have moved me so deeply:

"The generations of women, Black women, Asian, White, Latina, Native American women who throughout our nation’s history have paved the way for this moment tonight. Women who fought and sacrificed so much for equality and liberty and justice for all. Including the black women who are often, too often overlooked but so often prove they are the backbone of our democracy. All the women who have worked to secure and protect the right to protect the right to vote for over a century.

And while I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last.

And to the children of our country, regardless of your gender. Our country has sent you a clear message.
