Corporate Lunch with DDS Team July 2021

Since the pandemic started, our DDS team has not had a chance to get together for some business talk and good food. Now that restaurants are finally opened again and life is getting back to normal, our team had a corporate lunch in Pasadena. We were a group of four consultants namely me, Ebitari Larsen, (right), Roshni Biswas (middle right), Deepti Aggarwal (middle left) and Tanisha Gupta (left). I enjoyed spending quality time with these talented team members and listened to their thoughts and ideas more openly. It was a superb day, we ordered vegetarian dishes, seafood and chicken dishes, and enjoyed water and iced tea! Do you recognize the ambiance of the restaurant? That is PF Chang’s in Pasadena. It’s a great place to eat where people with different dietary needs can find something they can enjoy!

At DDS, our team is diverse and we all hail from different parts of the world and have different backgrounds and experiences. Our expertise is diverse and richly cultivated at the best academic institutions and business and non-profit organizations in the world. Our diverse backgrounds and expertise means we all contribute to DDS in our unique and enriching ways.

You can meet the team here.

Each of our team members is amazing in their own way and together we are what makes DDS such an amazing and rewarding place to work and a place that is making a huge positive impact on our client’s business, our local community and greater problem solving. The DDS team is a tight-knit, ambitious group with a shared vision of giving consistently great results for our clients, as well as ensuring the company is a fun, inclusive, challenging place to work and develop a rewarding career.

At the lunch, we reiterated DDS Vision, Mission and Values and building company culture of friendship, support, solidarity, empathy and teamwork. We’re very proud of the team we’ve built. We believe great people make a great company! We also talked about how the past year has impacted each of us and captured some great group photos to cherish the memories.

Delta Data Services has a history of satisfying its clients for over 12 years and we’re proud to exceed the needs of our customers. Just read our reviews to see for yourself! Our clients come to us with a lot of expectations and we go an extra mile to solve their corporate issues. We listen. We analyze. We deliver. Our success is measured by results. We care the most about how our clients feel about their experience with DDS.

In January 2021, Radhika, Founder and Owner of RADD LLC, came to us for hands-on Zoho configuration to manage, connect, and automate business processes across their organization. We provided RADD LLC with the best coaching and software for setting up and integrating Zoho One Suite for their business with full customization. Like all our clients, Radhika left us a remarkable review on LinkedIn and Yelp being grateful and thankful for our services. Here is Radhika’s review of DDS on LinkedIn and Yelp:

CaptionFounder & Owner at RADD LLC | Compliance Guru | FinTech Collaborator | Risk Advisor | Minority & Woman Owned Business | Expert Speaker | Philanthropist Goes Here

"We have contracted with Delta Data Services LLC (DDS) and Ebitari Larsen for our Zoho One requirements since January 2021. DDS have helped us primarily with the tools of Zoho CRM, Projects, People and Analytics. They have helped us set up our requirements for supporting our customers, managing our projects and extracting the reports we need. They have done these setups and customizations by doing the work on our behalf as well as training us with virtual or written and video documentation so that we can do the work ourselves. DDS is highly responsive and always ready to assist us when we need them. They are experts in Zoho One and can get us the answers to our questions that we need. We trust DDS as the company has integrity, experience and works hard. It is a pleasure working with DDS and we recommend them to anyone needing Zoho, Business Analysis or Project Management services."

At DDS we pride ourselves on our service, quality of work and the customer experience. That is why we are always pleased to receive positive feedback from our clients. We ‘ve posted a few of our reviews on our website but the most current reviews can be seen directly on LinkedIn and Yelp. If you would like to know what our customers think and why we have a 5 star review please visit us at LinkedIn and Yelp and also please feel free to leave us a review on these channels.

Driving Tech Industry Towards Gender Equality

Gender Equality in IT World

In spite of a number of surveys concluding that unbiased gender teams conduct better operations, gender equality and underrepresentation of women remain a crucial issue in the tech business, and women are still substantially given lesser opportunities in the IT world. Although the gender diversity graph is improving, the gender gap in the IT industry is still conspicuous. I’m lucky to represent an international data solutions brand (Delta Data Services LLC) which celebrates diversity and whose percentage of female employees is in majority—almost 90 percent. But we’d like the number to grow even bigger, in all tech businesses.

Gender Gap Research

The World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Report 2019 reveals that we have closed 68% of the gender gap worldwide. As per the survey, it is predicted that it will take 108 years to attain gender parity and 202 years to reach full fledged gender equality in workplace. Hiring more women and incorporating a woman in the recruitment process is an excellent way to eliminate any bias inside an organization. This will give both new employees and the organization a unique perspective. Candidates are more likely to accept a job offer from a firm where they interviewed with both male and female IT managers and executives, according to research.

A Collaborative Change

Change may begin on a small scale, perhaps even inside a single team. It can, however, progress to bringing about change throughout the organization. It can be as minute as being a good listener to your colleague or employee, regardless of their gender or seniority in the workplace. It’s about discovering and developing your personal capacity to care for others, no matter  of their gender or sexual orientation. Let’s take that easy step further this International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month as a tech community and include all genders in a team.

6 Marketing Books Every Entrepreneur Should Read

Marketing books are a treasure trove of short, actionable steps you can take to market your company. The takeaway is that to reach seven figures, you’ll need to take a different approach than you’re currently taking, starting with how you see yourself and your relationship with money. You’ll find advice about defining your target audience to effective networking strategies and cold calling tips. To help you prepare for your eventual takeover of the business world, we’ve compiled a list of the 6 best books on entrepreneurs. They’re inspiring, irreverent, and exactly what you need to get motivated.

"The Memo: What Women of Color Need to Secure a Seat at the Table" by Minda Harts
Advice on business and career should not be delivered on a one-size-fits-all basis. Author Minda Harts addresses the realities of women of colour in the workplace in "The Memo," and gives practical suggestions for overcoming the particular problems that women of colour confront at work.

"Company of One" by Paul Jarvis

Although Paul Jarvis’ book is considered a book about entrepreneurship, rather than marketing, it is written to help business owners think about how they operate their companies, including the customers they pursue.

"Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook: How to Tell Your Story in a Noisy Social World" by Gary Vaynerchuk

Vaynerchuk outlines how to connect with customers and beat your competition on social media. Social media is a crucial component of building a successful business, and Vaynerchuk’s practical advice shows you how to transform traffic into sales for impressive results.

"Think and Grow Rich", by Napoleon Hill

Think and Grow Rich was published during the Great Depression and still endures. Napoleon Hill interviewed “more than five hundred of the most successful men this country has ever known” to suss out the universal building blocks required to amass a fortune.
In this read, author Tiffany Dufu shares how to redefine expectations, and take on less to create more space for success. Drop the Ball is an engaging read for anyone who is struggling with overwhelm, and needs a little extra help focusing on the right goals.
This book was an answer to the worldwide attention received by Sandberg’s 2010 TED Talk in which she reinvigorated the conversation about women in the workplace. Packed with personal anecdotes, data, and practical advice on how to build a satisfying career.

How Metaverse Is Changing Big Data And The Future of Businesses

Metaverse, Big Data & Businesses

The metaverse is a combination of VR (Virtual Reality), AR (Augmented Reality) and MR (mixed reality) that will diminish the difference between online and real-life interaction. It has a goal to become a platform where we can work, go shopping, play around, and socialize. A number of data driven brands like Adidas and Balenciaga have already integrated into the world of metaverse. The metaverse finance depends on NFTs (non-fungible tokens), and cryptocurrencies. Here is why and how to evolve your business intmetaverse in 2022.

The Impact of a Metaverse on Data and Business Intelligence
Business team will be able to use a cloud data platform to gather and analyze in-house and third-party data with a one platform to access, which will cut down on the time it takes to find statistics. This framework should be able to direct structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, as well as separate information stores and arrange together bits of knowledge to gain from the metaverse and aid in forecasting future outcomes.

Organizations are fast becoming a prominent frontier for the metaverse; enterprises are vital markets for Augmented and Virtual Realities and will affect metaverse progress.
Trade
Many brands and shopping hubs will be able to participate in new advanced marketplaces as a result of the metaverse revolution, in which potential customers may link directly with 3D representations they might wish to buy within a virtual environment.
Cryptocurrencies
Because traditional currencies are unlikely to dominate future marketplaces, Bitcoins, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies may have a place. You may effectively increase your possibilities by pouring resources into blockchain innovation.
Entertainment/gaming
In 2021, 72% of metaverse users in the United States have participated. Acts out, skins, and in-game material were acquired by 44 percent of them. Furthermore, it has been established. This implies that the entertainment industry is worth concentrating on.

Ebi’s Work Shoes of Choice

Its a shoey day – and we just can’t be more thankful to our most comfy pair of work shoes. They are your best friend at work that not only keep your toes warm and relaxed but also look great. Ebi is fond of work shoes and she loves to keep her feet comfy. Ever since we came out of Covid, our style has more transitioned to wear something that makes us feel like home. From dressing formal to falling in love with casual, people who love to work know what makes them feel the more active.

New Balance 515 is one of Ebi’s top choice due to their reliability and softness while providing enough support to the heel and toe.

Why would you love these?

  • Relaxed fit design for a roomy comfortable fit
  • Soft fabric lining, Memory Foam full length cushioned footbed
  • Shock absorbing supportive midsole

When you’re on your feet for extended periods of time, it’s critical to wear the correct shoe. A well-fitting shoe is an important element of it. Work shoes are designed primarily for all-day wear over a long day or shift and must be made of excellent materials recognized for durability and endurance. When it comes to purchasing business shoes, all of the phrases, codes, and logos might be quite complicated. It all relies on the user’s industry’s requirements. Professional work shoes serve an important role in ensuring the health and safety of any workplace.

Ebitari’s COVID-19 Message for the DDS May 2020 Newsletter

Good day friends, clients, vendors and supporters of DDS,

We last sent this newsletter with a COVID-19 message from me on March 18th, 2020. So much has happened since then; we have been asked to shelter in place which has increased working from home, schools are all on mobile learning for the indefinite future, nonessential businesses, like retail, have been closed except from mail and pick up orders, restaurants are only allowed to function on delivery and take out orders, and everyone is required to wear masks in businesses (in California at least).

Now, a month and a half later, governments are starting to address reopening and we are all talking about how to resume back to normal life. I am active in my church serving on the board of elders; our head pastor and a team of staff have come up with a ‘faithful phasing’ plan as are most prepared organizations, planning how to go back to seeing each other in person, something many of miss and find essential to a good life.

At DDS, we are fortunate that our work is mostly remote and we support our clients all over the world using technology to facilitate communication and collaboration. DDS staff have always had the option to work on a flexible schedule and to work from home or the office or a combination of both according to what will make them most productive and able to achieve their requirements. This policy has served us well during the COVID-19 crisis as we have been set up for remote work and able to assist our clients and other members of community without any loss in momentum.

As I said in March, crisis like these are always an important reminder of the resilience and awe of the human spirit … it is a great blessing to be born human. In these times, we have the opportunity to see humans at their best serving others and working together to make each of our lives better. The following blogs are about some of the ways we are dealing with COVID-19 and seeing our community deal with it. I hope you continue to stay strong, stay resilient, see the good in everything and I hope you enjoy the newsletter.

With great appreciation for all you do for this world,

Ebitari
